This service provides parties with all of the benefits of having an impartial, third-party manage the financial aspects of a case, thereby supporting the continued neutrality of the arbitrator.

Services

  • Work with parties and arbitrator to develop time estimates
  • For panel cases, ensure that each arbitrator’s time estimates is consistent with other panelists
  • Prepare invoices for parties 
  • Collect advance deposits
  • Monitor payouts to arbitrators and track actual costs versus estimates
  • Review arbitrator invoices before payment
  • Provide access to draw-down accounts
  • Manage utilization of arbitrator cancellation policies
  • Suggest arbitrator billing best practices
  • Act as intermediary and preserve arbitrator neutrality in connection with financial management 
  • Provide access to AAA’s Escrow Service (for an additional fee)
  • Allow parties to utilize AAA’s Simple Pay functionality
  • Provide arbitrators with 1099 at year end for tax purposes
