The In-House Counsel’s Roundtable: Approaches to International Arbitration

Current and former In-house counsel from various industries discuss best practices and the unique aspects of conducting an international arbitration in their respective fields. This panel will provide perspectives on clause-drafting considerations; the impact of governing law, including New York Law; mediation, arbitrator selection, coordinating with outside counsel, key milestones, document production, and maximizing the services provided by the administering institution.

Focus on Asia: The ICDR’s Perspective

Global politics and economic trends suggest that Asia-related transactions will become an increasing source of cross-border disputes. An expert panel of international arbitration practitioners will discuss how current legal developments and trends, enforcement issues, and new or revised legislation combine with global politics to impact arbitration in the region. The discussion also will cover the Singapore Convention on Mediation and its significance for international commercial dispute resolution.
