When it comes to resolving disputes from beginning-to-end the AAA is the preferred provider of administered arbitrations in Arizona over non-administered arbitrations. This is due in part to the expertise and efficiency provided with every case. A mishandled case could result in unexpected expenses and additional time and resources.

Administered arbitration through the AAA ensures:

  • The integrity of the process is protected;
  • A panel with diverse ranges of experience;
  • An expeditious arbitration process; and
  • Flexible and court-tested Rules.

Our Regional Office in Phoenix provides hearing rooms and accommodations for cases across Arizona.

Heading up our Arizona caseload is Lance Tanaka, Vice President of the AAA’s Commercial Division. Lance is a vital resource for our clients who file commercial cases, as well as the panelists serving as arbitrators and mediators on those cases.  He has extensive experience with sports-related matters involving the Olympics, Professional Sports and Sports Doping Disputes.

Lance joined the AAA’s Honolulu office in 1992 as a case manager and subsequently became Vice President in 1998. He is a trained mediator, serving on the AAA’s Panel of Mediators that resolves appraisal disputes and expedited commercial cases. He is a non-attorney member of the Colorado Bar Association (CBA) and has participated in the CBA’s ADR Committee and Construction Forum Committee, among other board member and chairman positions within the Colorado Judicial Institute (CJI).
