As we turn the page on a remarkable year, the American Arbitration Association® (AAA®) takes immense pride in marking a momentous milestone: 50 years of serving the great state of New York in resolving no-fault disputes. Our journey began in 1974 with the establishment of no-fault auto insurance in New York State and the appointment of AAA to administer the arbitration program. At that time, navigating insurance disputes could be arduous and confusing. We envisioned a different path, one paved with efficiency, impartiality and accessibility.
Since opening our doors, we've held fast to our core principles. We believe in empowering New Yorkers to find fair and timely solutions to their disputes, unburdened by the traditional court system's limitations. Our unwavering commitment to no-fault arbitration has stood the test of time, offering a faster, less adversarial alternative for countless individuals, medical providers and companies across the state.
