An Important Update Concerning the Status of No-Fault Arbitration Hearings

After further consultation with the Department of Financial Services (DFS) regarding the increased severity of COVID-19 and the continual spread of the virus, effective Monday, March 16, 2020, all no-fault arbitration hearings will be by telephone, video, or by written submission. In-person hearings are suspended until further notice.

An Important Message Concerning Physical Mail and Recommendations for Electronic Submission

As a result of the NYS Governor’s Executive Order restricting all non-essential workers to working remotely at this time, we would like to remind customers that there are limitations and delays in receiving and processing physical mail destined for AAA’s NY Insurance Case Management Center at 32 Old Slip.

At this time, we strongly encourage parties to send mail electronically via email or upload case related documents directly to the case record in ADR Center. Transitioning to electronic mail will generate a speedier response and quicker processing time.

Here are some ways that you can take advantage of electronic mail:

• File your no-fault case and Master Appeal via email. Filing fees can be paid online through a secure payment portal.
• Upload case-related documents directly to the online case record in ADR Center.
• Send electronic communications utilizing the messaging system in ADR Center.

Please also note that we can receive packages delivered by FedEx. However, at this time, using UPS may cause a delay in processing, or may lead to the package being return to the sender.
