According to a 2018 study of AAA-ICDR business-to-business (B2B) commercial awards,
AAA-ICDR arbitrators made decisions clearly in favor of one party in over 94.5% of the cases. Only 5.5% of awards fell in the midrange category. (See the table below.)

These findings are part of AAA-ICDR Awards Do Not Split the Baby: Countering Counsel Perception in Commercial B2B Arbitration Cases, a comprehensive report on large cases, including counterclaims; $1,000,000+ cases; and technology, healthcare, financial services, and construction cases.

94.5% of 2017 AAA-ICDR B2B Initial Claim Awards Are Outside the Midrange of Claim Amount (as defined as 41-60% of their filed claim amount).
